After suffering its first loss last week to Cardozo, Seton Hall Prep is back on track after a 27-point victory over Newark Tech.
The Pirates got off to a cracking start, doubling Newark’s total in the first quarter at 24-12. By the half, Seton Hall built up a 41-24 lead. In the second half, the Pirates continued to dominate, finishing with a 77-50 victory.
Junior Stephen Ferraro led the way for Seton Hall, scoring 16 points to accompany his five assists and four steals. TJ Gibbs was right behind Ferraro with 13 points five boards and four assists. Doug Gertner chipped in with 12 points and Zach Keller added on another 11.
Having worked their way back into the win column, the Pirates advance to 12-1, maintaining their place at 22nd in the DigitalSports National Basketball Rankings and 2nd in New Jersey.
Seton Hall’s next game is on January 25 when the Pirates face Kennedy High School.
